I’ve just sat down at my desk on what is usually my most productive afternoon of the week, but I’ll be honest, I feel this session might be a slow one. We came back from France on Sunday night after a week of relaxation, and my goodness did I switch off from work. Ideal! We were staying in a beautiful house in Audierne, a pretty fishing town on the Breton coast, where we spent the week rockpooling, paddle-boarding, eating, drinking and exploring the local area.
There was no Wifi in the house and because of stupid Brexit, our data cap kicked in halfway through the holiday so we had no data either. Which was absolutely lovely, except I got so used to not checking my phone that, on returning to normality, I’m now completely overwhelmed by my inbox and social media. Definitely worth it though. I love Brittany - it reminds me of Cornwall, and I much prefer the cooler temperatures to those in the south of France where, let’s be honest, I’d probably get heatstroke right now. Apocalyptic times, non?
