I love meeting other people who show that having a creative, fulfilling career is not only possible, but how it can be a positive force for change in the environmental sphere. There are so many brilliant people who have carved a beautiful career for themselves with hard work, vision and a true passion for the earth. Each of them are making a real difference to how our species connects with the rest of the natural world, including my amazing friend Jennifer Lane, whose first book The Wheel: A Witch’s Path Back to the Ancient Self was published in 2021 with September Publishing. I first shared this interview on my blog last year, but I wanted to repost it here in time for spooky season as it’s particularly relevant!


My name is Jennifer Lane and I’m a freelance nature writer - both creative and copywriting - based in Greater Manchester. My first book The Wheel: A Witch’s Path Back to the Ancient Self came out in 2021 with September Publishing. The Wheel follows my year-long journey exploring ancient festivals and rituals in search of wisdom and peace. It is my quest to discover how to live fully connected to the natural world while living firmly in the twenty-first century.
